Here at the CL Group, we are committed to bringing you quality, sustainable products that don’t weigh you or your conscience down. As a casual, tech and travel brand we recognized early on that we have a social responsibility. As such we take a great deal of care in ensuring that our products are good for you and the environment. We also care that the people who make out products are happy in their work. We want everyone to feel good about the CL Group, from the people that make it to the customer that buys it.
Our manufacturing and sewing staff are happy!
All of our factories are personally selected by our MD Ms Martin and we have close relationships with factory staff (as we visit them often) and regularly conduct our own factory floor inspections. Also our suppliers are required to undergo ethical BSCI Audits by accredited 3rd party audit agencies which enforce social responsibility preventing sweatshop conditions.
The BSCI framework supports the following labour rights:
Firstly we carefully select fabrics and components that maintain utility and durability while working to eliminate manufacturing waste, enhancing recycling initiatives and increasing the use of recycled and renewable components. Our products are not only durable, but are made with minimal waste, reduced energy consumption and emission practices and remain friendly to the environment.
Secondly our products are high quality and we expect them to last a long time. Therefore reducing environmental impacts as the customer has to replace them less often.
One of the best things you can do for the environment is to reuse the things you already have, and we are committed to helping you do that. If your product is broken or damaged, we may be able to fix it instead of replacing it. No matter how old your product is, send us an email and we’ll happily try to repair it.
The CL Group are committed to source paper products from sustainable, meaning they are carefully managed and replaced as they are felled. All our paper and wood products bear the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) logo, and are certified to FSC standards.
As of December 2017 all of our products are 100% vegan and free of animals products. We use eco-efficient performance materials and have replaced all leather on our products with eco alternatives. We constantly look for innovative technologies to help support our earth-friendly sustainability efforts while delivery quality and performance our customers have come to expect.
It is important that we can give back to the causes that we loves. Our charitable support program for 2020 is the RSPCA South Australia.
